What Ingelheim tastes like
Every harvest tastes a little different – depending on the season and what is flowering around my apiary sites in Ingelheim. Spring blossom is mild and floral, while summer blossom is stronger and more aromatic. Current availability is shown with each product.

From my own apiary
What goes into the jar comes from my stationary apiary in Ingelheim and is harvested and bottled by me.
All colonies are kept in Ingelheim am Rhein. The honey comes exclusively from my apiary.
I do not buy in honey. Every jar comes from my own harvest.
The regional honey from Rheinhessen is not mixed with honey from other sources.
After harvest, the honey is bottled promptly without unnecessary processing steps.
Herr Honig
I deliberately run my apiary calmly and with the bees' needs in mind. I do not open my colonies more often than necessary and avoid unnecessary interventions. Instead of constantly checking, I try to disturb the natural rhythm of the colonies as little as possible.
The same applies when work is necessary: calm, careful and with as little disturbance to the bees as possible. To me, good beekeeping does not mean constantly doing something to a colony – it means knowing when an intervention is really necessary and when it is better to simply let the bees get on with their work.
I treat my honey the same way. It comes from my own colonies and, after harvest, takes only the short route from the comb through the necessary craft steps into the jar. No unnecessary further processing, no long transport routes and no long interim storage. The aim is for the honey to remain as close as possible to what the bees made.
My colonies stay at their locations in Ingelheim. I do not move them elsewhere to follow particular nectar flows. I do not buy in honey and I do not mix it with honey from other sources. From working with the colonies through harvest to bottling, the decisive steps remain in my own hands.
Honigmanufaktur Ingelheim is gradually becoming Herr Honig. It is the same apiary, the same approach and the same honey behind the new name.
Other places to buy

Yes. The vending machine at Unterböhl 16 is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Yes. All of my bee colonies are kept in and around Ingelheim. I do not buy in honey and I do not mix it with honey from other sources.
My spring and summer blossom honeys naturally crystallise after some time. I bottle the honey directly after extraction. Completely liquid honey is therefore usually only available shortly after extraction.
For environmental reasons, I am happy to take back clean, undamaged jars. You can simply place them in the designated box next to the vending machine.
